Groups Trained

In 1984, Peace Development Fund began an exciting new training initiative called the Exchange Project.  In an effort to extend support beyond grants and help provide grassroots groups with better organizational, fundraising, goal-setting, and resource development skills, Exchange Project director Andrea Ayvazian held weekend workshops for board and staff members of groups across the country.  The Exchange Project proved highly successful, increasing its programs over the years to include Exchange Project “Graduate School” workshops, Training for Trainers, and the popular Dismantling Racism workshops.  The Exchange Project successfully trained groups for nearly two decades, ending in the early 2000’s.  In addition to the Exchange Project, the Community Media Organizing Project and the Capacity Building Program – Building Action for Sustainable Environments Initiative – also provided training to organizations.  Below is a complete list of the groups trained by the Exchange Project:*
